We are delighted to announce that we have been hand-picked to feature in this year’s Parliamentary Review. We received the invite at the end of 2017, which capped a stellar year here at Spidersnet after we also won the award for ‘Web Provider for Independent Dealers’ at the Car Dealer Power Awards for the fourth year in a row.
We’ve been asked to feature in the Parliamentary Review alongside Prime Minister Theresa May and a number of other businesses that have been hand-selected by the government due to their reputations as innovative, highly regarded organisations within their industries.
We have been selected to contribute to the publication, which is shared among a variety of influential individuals including MPs, government officials, and senior business leaders.
“Selection for the Parliamentary Review is a welcome recognition of all the hard work the team here have put into making Spidersnet a great product!”
Sam Kidger, Managing Director
The purpose of the Parliamentary Review is to use the input of a number of businesses and organisations to inform law and policy makers about best practice, innovations and issues within a number of industries.
Sam Kidger, Managing Director at Spidersnet, said: “Ever since our inception in 1997 Spidersnet has set out to be a pioneering tech beacon in the Automotive industry. From day one we had the simple objective of seeking to make motor dealers’ lives easier through the provision of technology.
“The reason we are still growing today is because we’ve never stood still, and have never felt our job is done. We are restless and aware of threat but this awareness normally manifests itself in exploiting opportunities that these threats throw at us, allowing us to evolve and grow.
“Selection for the Parliamentary Review is a welcome recognition of all the hard work the team here have put into making Spidersnet a great product. But excitingly for us all it’s a great boost as we continue on our journey to take Spidersnet to new heights in the future.”
“It has never been more important for Government to hear the views of business and the public sector in a constructive forum.”
Sir Eric Pickles, Chairman of the Parliamentary Review
Spidersnet has been chosen to represent the Technology Sector, however, a whole host of other sectors feature in the Parliamentary Review including Transport, Finance, Education and many others.
We will also feature alongside a number of other people including Prime Minister and Sir Eric Pickles, who was appointed the Chairman of the Parliamentary Review in May 2017.
Speaking of the importance of the review, Sir Eric Pickles said: “It has never been more important for Government to hear the views of business and the public sector in a constructive forum. It is also a vital time to share best practice and progress.”
Lord Blunkett was announced as co-chairman of the Review in March 2018. He said: “The importance of The Parliamentary Review to the wider business community is self-evident.
“The understanding of and ability to be able to relate to the political arena has never been more vital. Everything around us, events of the last three years and present circumstances, reinforce this on a daily basis.”
